Join the UAI Safety Analytics Community for a LIVE! and interactive session as part of UA Week (UAI members register for free) on Wednesday, November 18 from 2:30 - 4:00 pm CT for an exercise on "Our Journey to Reduced Serious Injury and Fatality (SIF) Exposures and Energy Hazards through Improved Data Collection.". During this "journey-themed" session, Safety Analytics members will share their stories and use cases throughout 2020 and provide brief summaries of where they have been on their journey to date. Learn more below!
Go on a journey with the Safety Analytics Community as they guide you through where they've been, where they are now, and where they are going in their quest to reduce, and preferably eliminate, Serious Injury and Fatality (SIF) exposures and energy hazards by improving data collection, sharing process and methods best practices and identification of leading prescriptive and descriptive analytics.
Since January 2020, the Safety Analytics Community members have collaborated among safety, data science, IT and operations professionals across the utility industry to share current and planned safety analytics initiatives, lessons learned, obstacles faced, and achieved and desired results. Through this scan of utility safety efforts, members have learned innovative ways to use analytics, better understood the current state of utility safety analytics, and closed in on their envisioned future desired state, as well as gained a better idea of what is needed to close the gap to their success.
During this session, we will start our journey with a quick, fun, and entertaining scavenger hunt. Members of the Safety Analytics Community that have shared their stories and use cases throughout 2020 will provide brief summaries of where we have been on our journey to date. We will also include polls to determine use cases that you would like to learn more about down the road, followed by a facilitated, interactive and engaging birds of a feather discussion to pick the brains of your peers that work or have an interest in utility safety analytics.
