Join the UAI Grid Analytics Community for a LIVE! and interactive session as part of UA Week (UAI members register for free) on Wednesday, November 18 from 2:30 - 4:00 pm CT for a presentation on "How to Apply Analytics to Improve the Outage Experience for Utility Customers." During this hybrid style session (four mini presentations and a panel discussion) we encourage Q&A and open discussion to create an interactive and engaging environment, so come with your questions on the topic. Join the UAI Grid Analytics Community Conversation to hear how multiple utilities applied analytics, machine learning, and data science techniques to improve the outage experience for their utility customers. During this session, you will hear the following stories around grid analytics, which will be followed by a panel discussion and audience Q&A. Come prepared to interact with our presenters/panelists and bring your questions about grid analytics.
    • Amin Tayyebi, Data Science Manager at Exelon will share their story about using data science to minimize power outages due to vegetation
    • Brad Steere, Director of Agile Analytics, and Amanda Gomez, Director of Process Optimization, both from Consumers Energy, will share their process transformation story for Service Restoration Damage Assessment
    • Michael Cervantes, Supervisor/Electrical Engineer EIT from CPS Energy will share their story about Merging Smart Meter Power Quality and Event Data with GIS and Customer Information to Proactively Identify Issues from the Circuit Feeder to the Smart Meter
