November Data Science Community Conversation: Technical Machine Learning and Data Science Techniques

When:  Nov 18, 2020 from 12:30 to 14:00 (CT)
IMPORTANT NOTE:

This November 18, 2020 Community Conversation will be taking place during UA Week 2020. In order to attend your community meeting this month, you must register here and select the specific Community. Join the UAI Data Science Community for a LIVE! and interactive session as part of UA Week (UAI members register for free) on Wednesday, November 18 from 12:30 - 2:00 pm CT for a presentation on "Technical Machine Learning and Data Science Techniques". During this hybrid style session (four mini presentations and a panel discussion) we encourage Q&A and open discussion to create an interactive and engaging environment, so come with your questions on the topic. Learn more below!

Whether you know very little about technical machine learning and data science techniques or you handle ML, AI and data science techniques on a daily basis, you will find value in this panel discussion, as it will cater to all audience types, i.e. those that are in management and those that work with machine learning and data science techniques daily. We will take an adaptive learning approach to this session, spending time on analytics and going in "under the hood" if needed, based on the audience questions and direction you take it. Join the UAI Data Science Community for a panel discussion to hear thoughts and answers to the following questions and other questions you may come up with on the fly for our panelists:
    • What are models you are working on?
    • How are you getting your models to work?
    • Where do you get the data for your models?
    • What data are you grabbing to put into your models?
    • Is the data internal or in the cloud?
    • How do you set-up the architecture for your modeling?
    • What is the process like for productionalizing your models?
    • Do you conduct code review?
    • Bring your questions about ML and data science techniques to this session!
